Windermere Jetty Museum

Windermere Jetty is a spectacular new museum on the shores of Windermere that showcases the sights and sounds of life on the lake. Steam launches, sailing yachts, motorboats and record breaking speed boats are exhibited in the boat house on the water and the exhibition galleries while in the live conservation workshop you can see the collection of historic boats as they are restored.

Hill Top (Beatrix Potter)

This cosy converted 17th century Lakeland farmhouse, the home of Beatrix Potter, is filled with Beatrix’s favourite belongings which inspired many of her famous stories. The house appears as if Beatrix had just stepped out for a walk.

Lakes Distillery

Take a tour of this beautifully renovated old Victorian cattle farm nestled on the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake.
